Smoking Ban Last month the Bulgarian Health Ministry held a meeting regarding the banning of smoking in public places. If approved by Parliament it could see the smoking ban come into force by June 2010. In Bulgaria it is estimated that around 45% of the population smoke.
In Bulgaria there are no public campaigns to help people stop smoking like in the UK and other European countries.
