Archaeological Find A 1900 year old chariot has been unearthed in a tomb in south eastern Bulgaria near the town of Borisovo. The four wheeled chariot was completely preserved and at the same site they also discovered glass and pottery items. It is believed that the finds are from the Thracians who inhabited the area around 4000 BC.
Nearby they found the skeletons of a couple of riding horses which are thought to part of a sacrifice to local Thracian nobleman. The Bulgarian Academy of Science has donated money for restoration and preservation of the chariot.
